Industrial Coatings
 0800 WE PAINT has had a long history of the application of industrial coatings defined as specialist coatings designed to prevent corrosion of concrete or steel by acting as a buffer against acids, alkyds’, impact areas and like. Usually used in areas such as steel work close to the ocean, tanks, industrial pipework, dryers, conditioning tanks, dairy factories, plant and equipment, factory floors etc.
Industrial coatings are expensive, so coating failure is not an option, apart from our qualified applicators we also operate several thousand dollars worth of coating thickness testers to ensure the correct micron application.
0800 WE PAINT offers a full preparation system: working with Blast Tech Abrasive Blasting, no steel work is immune from their high quality systems preparing to any Swedish standard required.
Concrete and Other Floors
 Concrete floors are highly specialized areas that have the potential to cost owners thousands of dollars if coatings are not applied properly. They look fine for a few months then delamination suddenly starts to occur….particularly in workshop locations and heavy tractor areas.
Generally we require all existing coatings as well as the first 2mm of surface to be removed, depending on the porosity of the surface a wicking epoxy will be used before the main coatings are applied. There are many coatings available and we would be delighted to examine and provide a comprehensive quotation and specification.

CAP Intumescent Fire Resistant Coatings
CAP fire resistant coatings are a new generation of intumescent coatings that we have specifically developed to overcome the issues associated with many traditional intumescents i.e. gone are the issues of:
- Odour
- ‘Ropey’ finishes
- Poor wear resistance
- Susceptibility to moisture
- Difficulty in application
- High levels of VOC’s
Intumescent Fire Coatings
 This company are registered applicators for Altex Firetex intumescent coatings for steel.
Modern technology has moved forward where the application of fire proof coatings will prevent steel from melting or collapsing for up to 120 mins burn time.
More engineers and building codes are demanding greater protection from a fire situation. There are many methods to o this such as boxing in a column in concrete. Or surrounding the column in multi layers of Gib and filling the cavity with vermiculite type powders.
More easily is to simply spray on a coating to the required fire rated finish. This can be done on site just after the steel work has been installed prior to the building closing in stage or indeed just exposed steel after a building is nearing completion.
In all cases drawings and or measurements have to be submitted through us or directly to Altex. Coatings Ltd, at this point a schedule is raised by them, this becomes a legal document and is part of the building compliance procedure. It is signed of by them and then 0800 WE PAINT, after application and thicknesses have been verified.
Xypex Concrete waterproofing
 0800 WE PAINT is the south island applicators for the specialist concrete waterproofing products known as Xypex and Kuniseal.
This system has multi uses as an additive to concrete which will form crystals along a water egress and ingress capillaries of some concrete slabs and joins: such as car park slabs etc.
Another area is the repair of leaking cement tanks and reservoirs’ Thousands of litres of precious water can be lost over time through exterior leakage, we offer a system to repair the leaks without removing the water.
